VSM2 was founded by four leading industry professionals whose main passion is developing innovative yet cost-effective structural systems for buildings of all shapes and sizes. Our Focus
Full Structural Design
VSM² takes pride in providing full and comprehensive structural design for a wide range of building types and construction types across the US. Our services start with conceptual design and continue through construction administration with site observations. We have experience in working in multiple municipalities across the US and are able to work in challenging regulatory environments and bring designs to the market that are expected by the local construction community.
Seismic Design
Martin Maingot has extensive experience working in High Seismic design areas. Martin's experience allows him to work with building officials to allow for quicker review times in challenging regulatory environments.
High Rise Wind Design
Stephan Voss and Jay Martin have been EOR on numerous high-rise buildings requiring wind tunnel testing. This experience allows Stephan and Jay to work closely with prominent wind tunnel labs to provide efficient designs for tall buildings.
Peer Review
While not a service VSM² openly markets, we provide critical peer reviews to our longtime clients to ensure they are receiving efficient and code compliant designs when we are not part of the original design team. VSM² will work in a collaborative approach to provide this service.

Project Engineer
- Structural Engineer recent Graduate to 3 years experience to design commercial buildings.
- Perform structural design and analysis of building structures.
- Working with project managers in the design, detailing, and construction administrative task of projects.
- Coordinate with architectural and other project consultants’ drawings and models.
- Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Preferable experience with the structural design of wood and concrete structures.
- Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain license in Texas within 3 years.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using Revit preferred.
Engineering Intern
- Structural engineering student enrolled in a degree program that will lead to a degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering (Masters degree preferred).
- Work under the guidance of an experienced structural engineer performing structural designs for building structures.
- Design experience gained will include projects consisting of concrete, steel, and wood structures.
- VSM² projects are located across the country and allow for experience in various parts of the country. We design projects with heavy seismic and heavy wind forces (based on project location).
- Perform field observations, in Texas, with an experienced structural engineer to observe the construction of projects VSM² has designed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
